Doctor of Health Administration (DHA)

DHA (Dubai Healthcare Authority) is the license obtained by medical professionals to practice medicine in Dubai. It is issued by the Health Regulation Department (HRD) of the DHA. Professionals in the healthcare industry pass the skill test and assessment to attain the license.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai) established the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to oversee Dubai’s health sector and encourage the private sector involvement to build a sustainable prospect. The objective behind DHA’s establishment also includes strategic oversight for the entire health sector in Dubai and to improve the private sector engagement.
The purpose of the DHA test is to select registered nurses as well as assistant nurses. A registered nurse should have successfully completed the bachelor’s program in nursing whereas an assistant nurse should have completed the general nursing course. The computer aided DHA test for both consists of 150 MCQs to be answered in 2 hours and 45 minutes. The subject covered is practical nursing based on various everyday patient-centered scenarios in a healthcare set-up.
